Ownership Documents
Could anyone tell me what legal documents I should have in my possesion now that the sale of my apartment is complete please? My lawyer is sending me the Notary Deed and BULSTAT cards and I just wondered if that was it? Many thanks
am not an expert, that is what we have from ours also.

It makes sense to ask them (the seller - developer) to issue an invoice. It's handy while dealing with tax issues at home. Then wrap a copy of all payment documentation (wire transfers) + the invoice and hold them with the deeds and the BULSTAT card.
It's good to have all documents proving not only that you're an owner but also how did you become an owner. This is only for tax purposes , in case.

It all depends on what you want the documents for. If it is for peace of mind you should not worry. Whether you have a copy of the title deed or not does not matter. The title deed is registered with the court in Razlog and the notary has a copy. You can always get a replacement title deed when you need it - like for reselling. In other words: once you are registered with the court as being the owner you are safe. You will need a copy of the title deed for certain interactions like registering your property with the municipality (if your lawyer has not done that for you) and such stuff - and your Bulstat number. But the number is enough. Nobody will ever ask you for the Bulstat card.
Once again: you are in dry towels.
Happy ownership,
Frank
