We didn't choose Trifonov (just to clarify things) but I reckon he's a safer bet than some other recommendations on the forum. For those who are new to the forum, please be aware of the fact that some postings are made by company reps. themselves, touting for business - just be careful! If you choose somebody, check them out thoroughly before agreeing to use their services. We were 'green' when we started this purchase (I think we're still pretty green, but anyway...) and unfortunately you learn by your mistakes! Hopefully, that won't happen to you!

Hi Nick_buyer, We're already using lawyers that were recommended on this forum, only to find they are incompetent, non-communicative, etc. We've gone from one stressful situation to another, trying to figure things out for ourselves. On the other hand, we've been really fortunate to get worthwhile advice from people on this forum at times, so in some ways, we've made progress. Just because someone recommends lawyers, doesn't mean they're any good - so you can understand why I'm annoyed with your postings. You've just very recently signed onto the forum and all your postings have recommended a particular law firm. Why should we believe you? It looks to me like you're just touting for business. Do you have any idea what its like to go through a difficult purchase, etc. with a useless laywer? Of course I'm paranoid at this stage - what would you expect! Hi, I am writing to defend somehow the Bulgarian lawyes. There are colleagues who are competent and with excellent attitude to their clients. Yes, I confes that there are some other lawyers who just take your money, I do not reject that. But the good lawyer first of all will have a look over your case and then he will advice what to do. If he find it out that he will not be able to asist you. Or he will recommend you his colleague who is more confident. That's the way the good lawyers behave and I am writing to defend their honour. The purchase is not a difficult deal and in your case if it was a difficult one I agree that the lawyer was really incompetent.

Sorry for interrupting your discussion. 2 points only: 1. Go to the website yourself. It has only a Bulgarian mobile number as a point of contact . Is there a reputable law company without a landline and a fax N ? How are you going to send them a signed document ? 2. It's in the town of Ruse (sometimes written as Rouse) on the Danube river, on the opposite side of Bulgaria - some 600 km away. Tried to find Bansko associate or partner - no success. It's understandable that solicitors from Sofia (the capital) - 160 km, or Plovdiv (like Trifonov) - 150 km from Bansko can commute (or have partner lawyers in Bansko) and do your job on-site in Bansko or Razlog, however traveling from Ruse to Bansko... sounds strange. I'm not a Trifonov client, however the guy had come personally to this forum , told us useful basics etc. If you're promoting a law company tell them to do it this way . Finally, there's one point many people miss. When your Bulgarian solicitors close your deal (you have the Notary deeds in your hands, they help with the BULSTAT, taxes etc.) they practically "close your file". However, unlike in the UK they don't tell you that. This leaves many people with the perception that the solicitors (the law firm) are bound to serve them further within the terms of their initial arrangements. Many people with such perception find that their e-mails may not be answered , etc. In any case - it's best to ask the solicitors (law firms) direct what they charge for the work in any after-sales case. This is important - otherwise both sides may feel uncomfortable . Best, Jack Dear Jack, You should send signed documents through a recorded delivery, not by fax. Documents send by fax are like copies, they are not accepted to be originals and are not originals. What you wil chose - to same some money and hire incompetent lawyer from Plovdiv or Sofia, as it seams that all forumers conplain of them, or to pay 100 euros more travel costs to a lawyer which is situated 1000 km away if that 100 euros more will save you trouble, time ( because when you chat in the forum you waist time to complain), and ruined health? If I told you that I know Mr. Trifonov in person, or Peter Petrov - Sofia - in person, and told you that I am 1000 km away from them, not in their office, does it means that I am incompetent? It is my understanding that the law firms with landlines are enjoing your money with no or bad result for you? :):):):) Then what is the profit of the landlines for you? :):):):) Agree that even with landlines they send you E-mails, they do not call you. :):):):) Ups, and the result is bad. Kind Regards
